The NFL trade deadline is fast approaching and the New England Patriots are rumored to be making a big move. Will Bill Belichick’s team have their usual success in this year’s playoffs or will they fall short? Here, we’ll explore all of the potential trades that could happen before the 21st.
The “nfl trade deadline 2021 packers” is the date that the NFL trade deadline will occur. The Packers are rumored to be trading for a player or players, but no one knows who they are.

The NFL trade deadline for 2021 was officially passed at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, with the Rams making a bid for Broncos pass rusher Von Miller.
The activity had heated up in recent weeks, with a few major players switching teams, but Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson remained put.
The Panthers and Jaguars worked out a deal to send cornerback CJ Henderson, a 2020 first-round selection by Jacksonville, to Carolina at the end of September, and things began to take up. The Panthers weren’t through with their cornerbacks, either. They got Stephon Gilmore from the Patriots a little over a week later. Carolina’s transactions were prompted, at least in part, by injury, as deals often are. In September, cornerback Jaycee Horn, the Panthers’ first-round choice in 2021, had a hand injury.
An injury sparked the start of another of the largest transactions. On Oct. 10, against the 49ers, the Cardinals lost tight end Maxx Williams for the season; within a week, they had struck a trade to acquire Zach Ertz from Philadelphia.

According to @TomPelissero, the Eagles have acquired CB Kary Vincent Jr. from the Broncos in exchange for a 2022 sixth-round selection.
Vincent was drafted in the seventh round out of LSU. Has yet to play this season after opting out of LSU in 2020.

I’m told there were talks about Odell heading to the #Saints, but considering how much OBJ is due for the remainder of the year, both parties couldn’t come to an agreement.
Plus, there’s still hope in the #Browns locker room that OBJ can help them make a postseason run in the second half.
November 2, 2021 — KimberLEY A. Martin (@ByKimberleyA)
Source confirms that the Jets have acquired former Chiefs G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (as @TomPelissero reported). Dan Brown, a tight end with the #Jets, has been sent to the Chiefs.
November 2, 2021 — Rich Cimini (@RichCimini)
DL for the Seahawks According to insiders, L.J. Collier is unlikely to be relocated before the deadline. Despite a string of game-day inactives, Seattle isn’t looking to trade the former first-round choice, believing he still has value.
November 2, 2021 — Jeremy Fowler (@JFowlerESPN)
Despite doing due diligence on Deshaun Watson and speaking with the Houston Texans, the Miami Dolphins will not make a deal for the quarterback before the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. According to the source, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross made the ultimate decision not to proceed because he had variables that needed to be addressed for any trade.
Watson, who sought to be transferred in January after being dissatisfied with Houston’s hiring process for new general manager Nick Caserio, has been a healthy scratch for the Texans this season.
Although there are still a few hours left, and certainly things can change, the Giants do not anticipate to deal Evan Engram before the deadline, according to a source.
November 2, 2021 — Dan Graziano (@DanGrazianoESPN)
Jaylon Smith, a linebacker with the Green Bay Packers, has been released, according to a source.
November 2, 2021 — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter)
There are still 3+ hours till the trade deadline. As I previously said, I believe they would be willing to move Maye for the proper price, but money is a problem. This year, more than $6 million is still available. Teams have shown interest in Mims, but the #Jets have no plans to trade him at this time.
November 2, 2021 — Rich Cimini (@RichCimini)
After tying for the team lead with 16 quarterback hits in 2020, the Texans were anticipating for a huge year from Charles Omenihu. However, the Texans’ 2019 fifth-round selection was a healthy scratch for two games this season and is now the team’s latest player to be dealt before the deadline. https://t.co/chuMrPT0yR
November 2, 2021 — Sarah Barshop (@sarahbarshop)
Omenihu, who has 0 sacks this season but 4 in 2020 in a part-time capacity, gives the 49ers depth on the edge. Last week, the Niners revamped their defensive line look, with Arik Armstead sliding inside and Samson Ebukam starting at DE. As a backup DE, Omenihu joins Dee Ford, Jordan Willis, and Arden Key. https://t.co/h6a0KLCURW

The #Saints are expected to make a significant QB choice soon, but I’ve heard they’ve been phoning teams about wide receivers.
November 2, 2021 — KimberLEY A. Martin (@ByKimberleyA)
According to insiders, the Cleveland Browns have no intention of dealing Odell Beckham Jr. before today’s trade deadline. There haven’t been any proposals that make sense for the company, I was informed.
November 2, 2021 — Dianna Russini (@diannaESPN)
OBJ will once again demonstrate why he is unique. #FreeOBJ WR1
November 2, 2021 — LeBron James (@KingJames)
As the deadline approaches, some clubs feel the Packers are doing their research on tight ends. High-end possibilities include Evan Engram and Hayden Hurst. Jordan Akins and Jacob Hollister are less expensive possibilities.
November 2, 2021 — Jeremy Fowler (@JFowlerESPN)
This morning, I spoke with many people who believed an acceptable price for TE Evan Engram was in the fifth-round selection level.
November 2, 2021 — Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan)
As the trade deadline approaches, the following Houston Texans players are projected to become available: TE Phillip Lindsay, LB Jordan Akins, S Lonnie Johnson, RB Cunningham, Zach (and, of course, Deshaun Watson)
November 2, 2021 — Jeremy Fowler (@JFowlerESPN)
Melvin Ingram III, a linebacker with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is on the move. According to ESPN, the Steelers moved Ingram to the Kansas City Chiefs for a sixth-round selection ahead of the trade deadline.
Ingram, a former Pro Bowler with the Los Angeles Chargers, signed a one-year contract with the Steelers as a rotational outside linebacker during training camp, but recently voiced dissatisfaction with his job after playing just 26% of plays against the Seattle Seahawks.
On the trade deadline, Jerry Jones remarked on 105.3 The Fan, “I don’t see us doing anything today.”

The Tennessee Titans have signed Adrian Peterson as a replacement for Derrick Henry, who is projected to miss the remainder of the season. The 36-year-old, who ranks sixth on the league’s career running chart, will begin his career on the Titans’ practice squad before getting promoted to the main roster.
Coach Bruce Arians of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers said it would take a “exceptional” offer to trade running back Ronald Jones, who has been surpassed in the starting job by Leonard Fournette this season. Jones isn’t available through trade, according to Arians, but that hasn’t stopped rumors, particularly with Titans running back Derrick Henry suffering a season-ending foot injury and Bucs general manager Jason Licht’s tight friendship with Titans GM Jon Robinson.
According to league sources, the Denver Broncos are close to completing a deal that would send eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker Von Miller to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for two second-round draft selections in 2022. According to the sources, the Rams will give the Broncos a second- and third-round selection. For the next nine games of the regular season, the Broncos will pay $9 million of Miller’s remaining $9.7 million basic salary.
With the announcement that Titans running back Derrick Henry will be sidelined indefinitely, here are several RBs that might be available through trade based on depth chart or club standing:
Tevin Coleman, David Johnson/Philip Lindsay, Ty’Son Williams, Melvin Gordon (unlikely), Ronald Jones, Mike Davis, Rashaad Penny, Ronald Jones, Mike Davis, Rashaad Penny, Rashaad Penny, Rashaad Penny, Rashaad Penny, Rashaad Penny, Rashaad Penny, Rashaad Penny, Rashaad Penny, Rashaad Penny, Rashaad Penn
November 1, 2021 — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter)
The Titans should be quite interested in moving Marlon Mack to the Colts. You’re just assisting them temporarily? Maybe a smidgeon (it won’t make much of a difference). In exchange for your #3, contract-year RB, you get a significant draft selection from a division foe. Complete the task.

According to league sources, the Houston Texans are prepared to retain Deshaun Watson through Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline. According to the sources, although many in the Texans organization want to move on from Watson as quickly as possible, the team will be prepared to restart trade talks in the summer.
Oct. 30
According to ESPN Stats & Information, the Philadelphia Eagles have made 103 deals since Howie Roseman took over as general manager in 2010, second only to the New England Patriots in the NFL (115). The Eagles have been as busy as anybody in terms of in-season transactions, with seven in either October or November since 2010, equal for third most behind the Patriots (14) and Rams (seven) (8). Roseman has been hard at work in the days leading up to Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET trade deadline.
Oct. 29
Only seven games into DeSean Jackson’s tenure with the Los Angeles Rams, the veteran receiver seems to have reached a fork in the road. Jackson will not play against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium on Sunday, according to coach Sean McVay, who claimed the organization has agreed to let him look into trade alternatives.
Oct. 27
A source tells ESPN that the Houston Texans are dealing running back Mark Ingram II to the New Orleans Saints, corroborating an NFL Network story. According to the source, the transaction involves a late-round selection exchange. Ingram will rejoin the organization that selected him in 2011 and with whom he spent eight seasons. This season, Ingram was the Texans’ starting running back, rushing for 294 yards and a score on 92 touches.
Oct. 25
According to Schefter, the Philadelphia Eagles are moving veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to the New York Jets for a conditional sixth-round selection that might be a fifth-rounder depending on Flacco’s playing time. The news comes on the same day that an MRI showed Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson has a damaged posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and would miss two to four weeks of action. Wilson was struck by Patriots defender Matt Judon in the second quarter of New York’s 54-13 defeat to New England on Sunday.
As the Nov. 2 trade deadline approaches, Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, who has a no-trade provision in his contract, is open to evaluate various alternatives for a new club, according to a source. Multiple clubs are interested in Watson, and although his desire to join the Dolphins has become something of a best-kept secret in the league, the source refuted the idea that it’s Miami or bust. According to the source, Watson will explore possible possibilities as they arise.
With a long record of linebacker injuries, the Denver Broncos traded for linebacker Kenny Young from the Los Angeles Rams. The Broncos reportedly handed the Rams a sixth- and seventh-round selection in the 2024 draft, according to several sources. He is the Broncos’ second linebacker acquisition in the last three days. Young has started all seven of the Rams’ games this season, in his fourth NFL season.
Oct. 23
The Denver Broncos acquired Stephen Weatherly from the Minnesota Vikings, who had seven linebackers on injured reserve and two more who may be limited in practice next week. The Broncos exchanged a seventh-round selection in 2022 and a seventh-round pick in 2023 in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2023.

The purpose of these trade suggestions is to be realistic, so although there is at least one big name involved, the most of them involve players on the fringes of competitive squads or stars on terrible teams trading draft selections.

The NFL trade deadline is approaching in less than two weeks, and clubs are preparing their rosters for the season’s final stretch. Each team’s prospective trade targets were chosen by our NFL Nation correspondents.
15th of October
The Philadelphia Eagles and the Arizona Cardinals have agreed to trade three-time Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz for cornerback Tay Gowan and a 2022 fifth-round draft selection. Maxx Williams, Arizona’s favorite tight end target, is out for the season due to a knee injury. Williams was on track for career highs in receptions, yards, and touchdowns despite the Cardinals targeting tight ends the third-lowest in the NFL, according to ESPN Stats & Information statistics.
12th of October
With less than three weeks before the deadline, let’s take a deeper look at how things may play out, players to monitor, and issues to keep an eye on throughout the league.
11th of October
According to league sources, the Baltimore Ravens have received trade requests from teams interested in their current core of running backs after losing three to season-ending injuries during the preseason and rushing to replace them. Former New Orleans Saints running backs Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman, as well as former Kansas City Chiefs running back Le’Veon Bell, are among the Baltimore Ravens’ running backs. Ty’Son Williams, a second-year running back, was joined by the seasoned trio.

The New York Jets’ lingering issue in the wake of Marcus Maye’s DUI arrest is how it will affect his future with the organization. The short answer is: It brings him one step closer to the entrance. Why would anybody believe the Jets would offer him a huge contract in 2022, when he would be a year older (29) and facing a probable league suspension, if they didn’t sign him to a long-term agreement last summer, resulting in the franchise tag?
6th of October
Stephon Gilmore was acquired by the Carolina Panthers in a trade with the New England Patriots, who were unable to reach an agreement with the standout cornerback on a restructured contract. Gilmore, a four-time Pro Bowler, was set to be released by the Patriots on Wednesday, but he was eventually dealt to Carolina for a 2023 sixth-round draft selection. Before the deal, both Gilmore and Patriots coach Bill Belichick said their goodbyes publicly.
5th of October
The Miami Dolphins announced that wide receiver Jakeem Grant has been dealt to the Chicago Bears. The Dolphins will get a sixth-round selection in 2023. Grant, who has been the Dolphins’ main returner since being picked in the sixth round in 2016, is one of the league’s greatest special teams players, having scored five return touchdowns in his career. He is currently ranked 11th most non-offensive touchdowns among active players.
27th of September
The Jacksonville Jaguars traded cornerback CJ Henderson and a fifth-round selection to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for tight end Dan Arnold and a third-round pick. Cornerback Jaycee Horn, the Panthers’ first-round choice in 2021, is sidelined for a prolonged period of time due to several fractured bones in his right foot. Horn, who was put on injured reserve Monday, will undergo surgery, according to Panthers coach Matt Rhule. Henderson is a player that the Panthers contemplated selecting with the No. 7 selection in 2020, according to Rhule. They selected Derrick Brown, a former Auburn defensive lineman, with that choice.
9th of September
The Houston Texans received a 2022 third-round draft selection and a 2023 conditional sixth-round pick in exchange for cornerback Bradley Roby from the New Orleans Saints. The Texans turned $7.6 million of Roby’s basic salary into a signing bonus to effectuate the deal. Roby’s basic pay for 2021 has been increased to $1,862,645, which is inside the Saints’ salary ceiling.
3rd of September
The Pittsburgh Steelers strengthened their cornerback situation by trading Ahkello Witherspoon to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2023 fifth-round selection, after their initial 53-man roster was short on cornerbacks. Witherspoon, 26, signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Seahawks in March and was anticipated to contend for the starting left cornerback spot. However, Seattle shifted D.J. Reed to the left side and Tre Flowers to the right, making Witherspoon a trade option. Seattle had dealt a 2022 sixth-round selection to the Jacksonville Jaguars for Sidney Jones the day before.
31st of August
The Minnesota Vikings have acquired veteran tight end Chris Herndon from the New York Jets. Minnesota traded a fourth-round selection in 2022 and a sixth-round pick in 2022. It completed the deal a day after coach Mike Zimmer said that Irv Smith Jr. will have surgery to repair a meniscus injury he suffered in the team’s preseason finale against Kansas City.
31st of August
The Baltimore Ravens sold guard Ben Bredeson to the New York Giants in exchange for a 2022 fourth-round selection, as well as a 2022 fifth-round pick and a 2023 seventh-round pick. Bredeson gives the Giants depth on the interior.
31st of August
Green Bay received punter Corey Bojorquez and a 2023 seventh-round selection in exchange for a 2023 sixth-round pick from the Los Angeles Rams. This seems to indicate that the Packers are no longer interested in punter JK Scott, whom they selected in the fifth round of the 2018 draft. So they’re not only using a draft selection on a punter, but they’re also trading for one.
31st of August
The Kansas City Chiefs traded offensive tackle Yasir Durant to the New England Patriots in exchange for a seventh-round selection in 2022. Durant is anticipated to be added to the 53-man active roster as a depth player.
31st of August
Denver traded WR Trinity Benson and a 2023 sixth-round selection pick to the Detroit Lions in exchange for fifth and seventh-round draft choices in 2022.

30th of August
The New York Giants traded defensive lineman B.J. Hill to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for offensive lineman Billy Price and a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2022. With the trade in the works, Hill, a 2018 third-round selection out of NC State, did not participate in the preseason finale against the New England Patriots on Sunday night. Price, a first-round choice in 2018, gives the Giants some much-needed depth on the offensive line’s interior. In the NFL, he has played center and guard.
30th of August
The Buffalo Bills traded DE Darryl Johnson to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a sixth-round selection pick in 2022. He’ll be a key special teams contributor and depth player.
28th of August
The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired quarterback Gardner Minshew II from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a conditional sixth-round selection in 2022. If Minshew is engaged in 50% of the plays in three games this season, his sixth-round selection might be upgraded to a fifth-rounder. After Jaguars coach Urban Meyer stated on Wednesday that No. 1 selection Trevor Lawrence had earned the starting role, the team made the move.
28th of August
Joey Slye attended Carolina Panthers training camp with no competition as place-kicker and left without a job. Slye was released by the Panthers on Saturday in favor of Ryan Santoso, who was acquired from the New York Giants in a trade on Thursday after losing the kicking position to Graham Gano. Surprisingly, Gano was the one who lost his position to Slye last summer.
28th of August
Greg Mancz, an offensive lineman with the Baltimore Ravens, was traded to the Miami Dolphins. In exchange for a seventh-round pick in exchange for a sixth-rounder, the Ravens will get a late-round pick.
26th of August
Shaun Wade, a rookie cornerback with the Baltimore Ravens, was dealt to the New England Patriots for a handful of draft selections. In 2022, the Ravens will get a seventh-round selection and a fifth-round pick in 2023. Wade, a fifth-round selection out of Ohio State who was passed over on the depth chart by Chris Westry, was not going to make the Ravens’ 53-man roster.
25th of August
The Los Angeles Rams have acquired Sony Michel from the New England Patriots in order to bolster their running back depth. In the exchange, the Patriots received a sixth-round selection in 2022 and a fourth-round pick in 2023. Michel addresses an urgent need for the Rams, who will be missing emerging star Cam Akers for the whole season after tearing his right Achilles tendon working out before training camp.
25th of August
In exchange for a 2022 sixth-round selection, the Las Vegas Raiders received linebacker Denzel Perryman and a 2022 seventh-round pick from the Carolina Panthers.
25th of August
The Houston Texans traded cornerback John Reid to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a conditional seventh-round selection in 2023.
24th of August
Ka’dar Hollman, a cornerback with the Green Bay Packers, was dealt to the Houston Texans in exchange for a seventh-round draft selection in 2022. Hollman was drafted in the sixth round (185th overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Packers and appeared in 18 games with one start in his two seasons with the team.
