Scream Factory announced earlier this year that the original five Halloween films will be released on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray with additional special features, and the distributor has now revealed all of the extra content that fans can anticipate on the discs. As if remastering these films for 4K Ultra HD wasn’t exciting enough, some of the extras on the discs have never been seen before, such as Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, which includes an alternate opening and additional gore that had to be removed in order for the film to receive a R rating at the time of its release. Before the films release 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on October 5th, check out the complete list of extra features below.

The releases are described by Scream Factory as follows: “It’s been 43 years since John Carpenter’s 1978 horror masterpiece Halloween was released in cinemas and forever altered the horror genre. It — and its immediate successors — may now be enjoyed in the highest possible visual and audio quality. Halloween II, III, 4, and 5 make their North American 4K UHD debuts with this Scream Factory edition of the original five Halloween flicks. Halloween (1978) (Collector’s Edition) (4K UHD) includes a first-ever return to the original camera negative in an exciting tribute to fans! Each of these cherished, legendary films will be issued in a limited-edition rigid slipcase with a Blu-ray copy of the film and previously unreleased additional features.”
